In brief: The consultation form is used to respond to your inquiry. The newsletter is optional and separate. I do not sell your personal information. You can contact me to ask about, correct or request deletion of the personal information I hold about you.
01. Who is responsible
This website and the independent Dionysios philosophical consultation practice are operated by Daniil Dionysios (“I” or “Dionysios”). I am responsible for the personal information collected for this practice and serve as the contact for privacy questions.
Contact: dionysiosdaniil@gmail.com. This policy covers information collected through dionysiosphilosophy.com and subsequent correspondence related to inquiries and subscriptions.
02. What information is collected
Consultation requests. When you send a request, the form collects your name, email address, country, province/state/region, time zone, selected topic and a short message. You may also provide your general availability. It records your confirmations that you are at least 18, understand the service's non-clinical scope and have read this policy.
Email correspondence. If we correspond afterward, I may retain the emails and information you voluntarily include to respond to your inquiry or arrange a conversation.
Newsletter. If you subscribe, Buttondown collects your email address and subscription/confirmation information. Depending on Buttondown settings, it may process delivery, open or click information.
Technical information. Cloudflare and other providers involved in operating the site or its forms may process technical details such as IP address, browser information, request times and security-related logs when you access or use their services.
This website does not collect payments or credit-card information. Please do not include medical histories, diagnoses, detailed trauma accounts or other sensitive personal information in the introductory form.
03. Why your information is used
- To read your inquiry, assess whether a non-clinical philosophical conversation is appropriate, and reply or arrange an introductory call.
- To send newsletters only when you separately choose to subscribe, and to manage subscription preferences and unsubscribe requests.
- To maintain the website, limit spam or misuse, protect security and respond to legal obligations where applicable.
- To respond to requests concerning your personal information.
Submitting a consultation request does not subscribe you to the newsletter. Your email address is not sold or provided to advertisers for their own marketing.
04. Services that process information
I rely on a small number of service providers to operate this website:
- Cloudflare hosts and helps protect the website and may process access and security information. Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Formspree receives and processes consultation-form submissions and makes them available to me, including through form notifications. Formspree's privacy policy.
- Google / Gmail processes correspondence sent to or from my public contact email address, and may process messages sent through form notifications. Google's privacy policy.
- Buttondown manages newsletter subscriptions, confirmations, delivery and unsubscribing. Buttondown's privacy policy.
The consultation form is submitted directly to Formspree over HTTPS. The site does not load advertising pixels or behavioural advertising scripts. I do not add advertising pixels or behavioural advertising scripts to this website. Hosting and service-provider technologies may still use necessary technical cookies or security measures.
05. Processing across borders
Dionysios operates from Canada and welcomes inquiries from English-speaking adults in permitted locations. Some providers, including Formspree, Buttondown and Google, may process or store information in the United States or other jurisdictions. Cloudflare uses an international network. Privacy rules and access rights may differ from those in your country of residence.
06. How long information is kept
For introductory requests that do not lead to an ongoing engagement, my working retention period is up to 12 months after our last exchange, unless the information must be kept longer for a legitimate legal reason. I remove information that is no longer needed from my accessible accounts, subject to provider backup and legal retention processes.
Newsletter information remains with Buttondown while you are subscribed, or as otherwise necessary to administer unsubscribes and meet applicable obligations. If a consultation becomes an ongoing engagement, I will explain any additional recordkeeping arrangements before proceeding.
07. Your choices and privacy requests
You can email me to ask what personal information I hold about you, request a correction, or ask for deletion where permitted by applicable law. You can also withdraw permission for optional communications. I may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe option. Unsubscribing stops future newsletter emails but does not automatically delete separate consultation correspondence. For both, email dionysiosdaniil@gmail.com. You may also contact the privacy regulator with authority in your jurisdiction if you have concerns.
08. Security, confidentiality and cookies
The website is served using HTTPS, and I use established service providers to handle submissions and subscriptions. I take reasonable care with the personal information entrusted to the practice, but no internet transmission, email inbox or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
This website's source code does not include a dedicated advertising or analytics tracker. Standard website-delivery, anti-spam and security information may still be processed by the services listed above. Any analytics separately enabled in Cloudflare account settings should be reflected in this policy.
Correspondence and consultations are treated with discretion, but philosophical consultation does not create the legally protected confidentiality or professional privilege that may apply to certain regulated therapeutic relationships.
09. Age and updates
Consultation requests are intended for adults aged 18 or older. I do not knowingly solicit consultation inquiries from minors.
This policy may be updated when the services, providers or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be revised when material updates are made.
10. Contact about privacy
For urgent situations or mental-health crises, please contact qualified local services. This practice does not offer psychotherapy, diagnosis, crisis intervention or emergency support.
